Plan Coverage & Policy

For only $99 per Adult and $79 per child, ages 2-11, ($109 and $89 respectively, from 12/22-12/31/07 and 12/22-12/31/08), you can purchase our comprehensive travel protection plan. This plan protects against cancellation penalties if the trip is cancelled for any reason prior to departure. Plus, it also covers trip interruption, baggage, medical expenses and other problems that may occur after departure.

What is the dress code for the restaurants at night?

Resort Casual
Dress shorts or jeans are permitted. Swim wear must be dry and covered. No bare feet.

Resort Evening
Dress pants for gentlemen. Shirts with sleeves and collar. Dress shoes.

On most nights you will need to dress casually elegant or elegant. This all depends on the restaurants you wish to dine in. Many couples change into more comfortable clothing after dinner. None of our restaurants require a jacket to be worn.

Is a visa required to travel to your resorts?

Visas are not required from U.S. citizens by any of the countries where our resorts are located. However, effective December 31, 2006 all U.S. citizens traveling returning from the Caribbean must have a valid U.S. passport in order to re-enter the U.S.. For citizens of other countries, please contact the airline you are traveling for information on entry / visa requirements.

Do I need to bring and electrical adapter?

110 volts, 50 cycles in Jamaica and Turks & Caicos. But don't worry about bringing your hair dryers; they're already provided in every room.

Can I make reservations for dining or onsite activities before I travel?

Reservations for dining (most restaurants don't require reservations), golf, scuba, watersports, tennis, etc. can only be made once you arrive at the resort.

Do you offer babysitting?

Parents can drop off kids at our complimentary Kids Kamp where they'll join other kids of their age group in several fun activities. Kids really do love the all attention they get from our loving nannies . Kids Kamp hours of operation vary by age group and are available at our kids page.

Outside of Kids Kamp operation hours, private babysitting is available at an additional charge. More details on private babysitting as well as rates can be found at our kids page.

Is there a drinking age at the resorts?

In order to drink alcoholic beverages at our resorts in the Caribbean, you must be 18 years or older.

We are traveling with a couple of friends. Can we request adjoining rooms?

We accept requests for adjoining rooms and will always do our best to accommodate you and your friends. However we cannot guarantee that adjoining rooms will be available.

What are the transfer times from my the airport to the resort?

In Providenciales - Turks & Caicos

Transfer times are approximate and may vary with traffic / road condition.

Transfer times to all properties in Jamaica are based on arrival at Montego Bay International Airport (MBJ). Transfers to all Beaches Resorts in Jamaica are only included from MBJ.

Do you have a nurse on property?

There is a Registered Nurse on the premises at every Sandals with daily office hours. Her services are complimentary but there is a charge for medication and/or Doctor consultations should these be necessary.

Can I drink the water?

Since all our resorts have water filtration plants on property, drinking the water in your room is perfectly safe. Bottled water is sold in the gift shop for an additional cost and is available in all Concierge Category rooms at no additional charge.

Should I get vaccinated before going?

Vaccinations are not necessary to any of the Caribbean countries where our resorts are located. However, we suggest that you speak to your doctor for more information and recommendation.

Can your resorts accommodate food allergies?

You can rest assured that we'll will work very closely with you and our chef can ensure that the appropriate meals are available. Please provide us with you arrival date and booking number as well as your name and the resort at which you will be vacationing so that arrangements can be made for you to speak with the chef on arrival.

How much cash should I carry?

Since everything is included and tipping is simply not allowed, you will not need any cash while on property. Our front desks will accept most major credit cards (MC, VISA and AMEX). We also accept traveler’s checks. Upon check in, all guests will be asked to tender a credit card to activate their room folio. The purchase of optional services from the resort outlets will be done by signing all charges to the guest’s room folio. Cash is not accepted at any of the revenue outlets.

However, if you are planning to travel off property for shopping and such, we recommend bring some cash along as some vendors do not accept credit cards or travelers checks. There are exchange bureaus at every Beaches Resort. All of the islands accept US dollars, but please note that you may receive change in the local currency. Additionally, you may want to carry change to tip luggage attendants and drivers outside of the resort.

How can I arrange tours outside the resort?

A variety of local tours are available at all our locations at additional cost. Reservations can be made at the resort's Tour Desk. Please inquire about this when you arrive.

Are beach towels provided by the resort?

Yes, beach towels are provided by the resort.

How do I arrange transportation to the resort?

Your ultra all-inclusive package includes roundtrip airport transfers and arrangements are made by Sandals - no action on your part is required. Immediately outside of customs at the airport, you will find a Sandals Desk. A representative will lead you to the shuttle bus that will take you to the resort. Please note that, in Jamaica, transfers are to/from Sangster International Airport (Montego Bay.)
