Hurricane Melissa A Message from Sandals Resorts International

Dear valued guests,

Our thoughts continue to be with everyone across Jamaica impacted by Hurricane Melissa. We are deeply grateful for the resilience of our team and local communities. 

We wanted to share an important update with you as we are beginning to plan our resort reopening efforts. We are pleased to share that Sandals Dunn's River, Sandals Royal Plantation, Sandals Ocho Rios, Sandals Negril, and Beaches Negril will open their doors with all facilities and amenities available to guests beginning December 6, 2025.

Our three other resorts in Jamaica — Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Royal Caribbean, and Sandals South Coast will open May 30, 2026. 

To help you with your upcoming reservations, we have a number of flexible options to make things as easy as possible as you plan your upcoming travel.

For reservations through December 31, 2025:

- You Can Choose to Change Your Travel Dates or Resort: You can move your stay to new travel dates or to another resort, based on availability and you’ll have up to 12 months from your original arrival date to travel. We will honor your original rate in a comparable room category (black-out dates may apply). There is no penalty for changes to the land portion of your package. All changes must be completed within 30 days of your original travel date, so please finalize your preferred option.

- Cancel with a Refund: If you prefer not to reschedule, you may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund for the land portion of your trip. Any airfare refunds or penalties will be determined by the airline’s policy. All cancellations must be completed within 30 days of your original travel date.

For reservations between January 1 – May 29, 2026

- Once resorts in Jamaica have reopened, your booking will follow our regular terms and conditions. If your resort is closed, you may still move your trip to another date or resort within 12 months of your original arrival date. We’ll honor your original rate in a comparable room, with no penalty for the land portion. (black-out dates may apply).

Over the coming days, our Customer Service team will be reaching out to discuss options with guests with upcoming travel, starting with those arriving within the next two weeks. You’re also welcome to contact us anytime at 1-800-SANDALS to review your reservation. Please note, it may take a little longer than usual to connect as we work to assist all guests.

Many have asked how they can help our local Jamaican communities. The Sandals Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Sandals Resorts International, is leading on-the-ground efforts of support.
