Certified Scuba Diving ProgramCertified Scuba Diving ProgramEven kids can learn about the underwater world of the Caribbean, with a variety of PADI® programs developed to teach them about scuba diving and preserving the underwater environment. Kids Scuba programs are available for an additional cost.
The Beaches “Ocean Explorer” Kids Program is designed to engage children aged 8-12 in a week of action-packed fun-filled activities. Each adventure provides knowledge about the underwater world, teaches how to protect it, and includes environmental projects that families can participate in, fostering responsibility and respect for the aquatic realm.
At the end of the program, they will receive an Ocean Explorer rash guard, take part in an ocean cleanup with their families, and culminate their week with an exciting graduation ceremony on the beach!
The Scuba Gear used: Children will use all the basic scuba gear, specially designed to fit their size and stature.
Beginner Program
Kids will complete 10 exciting aqua missions and obstacle courses in the Seal Team program, learning how to become skin divers while enjoying a Snuba Adventure.
*Age requirement: 8 - 10 years old
Beginner with Water Experience
Kids will learn how to snorkel, snuba, blow their first underwater bubbles and match that experience with scuba skills learnt in the seal team program.
*Age requirement: 8 - 12 years old
Water Experience/ Project Aware & Junior Scuba Certified
Kids will learn how to become a skin diver, conduct a Project Aware specialty and become a Junior Scuba Diver.
*Age requirement: 10 - 12 years old
Get ready for an underwater adventure with the Beaches Ocean Explorers Crewpack! It includes an Ocean Explorer rash guard, a kids’ logbook with stickers, a certificate of participation, and Scuba Diver and Project Aware certifications for Dolphin Explorers.
Save time, download and complete the required waivers to participate in each activity level.
Present these at the resort Aqua Center at check-in.
What a great way to introduce children to scuba diving in a pool in less than six feet of water. Celebrate a birthday by throwing a memorable, exciting Bubblemaker party with friends and family at your local PADI dive shop or resort. It’s fun, easy and safe.
*Minimum age requirement: 8 years old
Youngsters can join in the family fun of scuba diving or even start a trend! Children should be comfortable in the water, but they don’t have to be super swimmers. With youngsters in mind, the maximum depth is only 2 metres/ 6 feet.
Typical sessions last about an hour (sign up, gear up and fun included). Available as an open water experience (2 meters / 6 feet max depth).
Experience what scuba diving is like under the direct care and supervision of PADI instructors, take their first breath underwater, and learn about and use scuba diving equipment made for children - not adults.
Children use all the basic scuba gear which is made for their size and stature.

Kids who crave adventure and excitement (and what kid doesn’t?) will get their fill of thrills in the PADI Seal Team Program. In this action–packed course, children 8 years of age and up take part in a series of AquaMissions, led by trained PADI professionals, where they learn how to dive with flashlights, master underwater photography, float like an astronaut and so much more!

The PADI Seal Team offers your kids all of the fun they could ever want, while also teaching them invaluable lessons about safety and the sea.
Learn the basics of diving on the first set of five AquaMissions, go on more advanced and fun-filled AquaMissions, after completing the initial five, and take advantage of the incredible knowledge and experience of our PADI-trained professional staff.
Seal Team participants use diving equipment that has been specially designed for kids, in order to fit their size and stature and make sure that they are as safe and comfortable as possible.
Kids can get ready for all the awe-inspiring experiences that they’ll enjoy on their AquaMissions with this state-of-the-art Seal Team Crewpak! Featuring a DVD, an Activity Book and Log Book Pages, this crewpak will have young Seal Team recruits up and ready for their missions in no time.
