More to Know About Weddings at Beaches

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Even if the wedding is Free, are there additional government taxes and fees that we will have to pay?

  • Is the wedding a legal marriage, recognized in our state or country?
  • Yes, the marriage is a legal binding marriage, and once you have received your marriage certificate, you can register at your local courthouse (or take whatever steps are necessary to register the marriage in your home state.)

  • In addition to mailing in notarized copies of our legal documents during the planning session, should we also hand carry the original documents when coming to Beaches for our destination wedding?
  • It is not necessary to hand carry your certified documents to Jamaica, but it will be necessary to hand carry your certified documents to Turks & Caicos.

  • Can we get married on the beach in the sand?
  • Of course! We offer several locations at each resort, and the beach is always an option. The Wedding Coordinator at the resort will give you a tour of the possible locations and help you pick the perfect one.

  • What are the wedding sites on property?
  • Most of our properties offer a beach, a garden and a gazebo location. The location is the couple's choice. It can be as private or public as they wish.

  • Can the wedding and reception be in the same area?
  • You have the option to choose your wedding and reception locations, however, with a variety of picturesque locations at our resorts, we highly recommend that you choose separate locations for ceremony and reception.

  • Why did we receive a bill for the wedding if the wedding is included?
  • If you are staying 5 nights or longer, the basic wedding package is included. The invoice goes out automatically when the wedding is booked to confirm date and time. The rate will be adjusted 30 days prior to wedding date once the room category and length of stay is confirmed.

  • What flavor is the wedding cake?
  • There's a choice of 3 flavors; chocolate, vanilla or Caribbean fruit.

  • Can I customize the Beautiful Beginnings wedding ?
  • Absolutely! The Beautiful Beginnings, as well as all the other Sandals Weddings by Martha Stewart themes, are customizable.

  • What is the best way to travel with a wedding dress?
  • There are off property services that will handle the steaming of the dress. Prices are determined on the size, detail, and material of the dress.

  • Yes, yet we highly recommended that all wedding items are booked and reserved prior to travel to ensure availability.

  • Can I pay for all my options when I get to the Resort?
