During the four day conference, top mom bloggers (and a dad or two) were invited to sharpen their social media skills through information sessions and encouraged to indulge in the beauty of the Caribbean with their families. After swimming in the crystal clear ocean, getting pampered at the Red Lane® Spa and exploring all that Beaches Turks and Caicos has to offer, guests were invited to attend an educational breakfast hosted by the Foundation’s Director of Programs, Heidi Clarke. The attendees gained an insider look into the non-profit’s core principals which are centered around a commitment to playing a meaningful role in the lives of the communities where the hotel brands’ operate.
Guests were charged to engage with the cause through the heartfelt presentation of “Soles of Our Youth,” the Foundation’s newest video created by famed producer Gil Green; a “Pack For A Purpose” call to action in which attendees participated in donating backpacks full of needed school supplies. They were then treated to an awe inspiring vocal performance by two local school children as a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to the bloggers, followed by words of appreciation for the much needed supplies.
Donated items included a variety of school supplies, books, as well as event sponsors’ contributions such as Britax car seats, Hasbro “Let’s Imagine Elmo” toys and HP color printers.
