Last night, Sandals and Beaches showed tremendous support for NBC’s “The Voice” contestant Tessanne Chin, a Kingston, Jamaica native and former performer at Sandals and Beaches, by hosting a Caribbean-wide viewing party in her honor. Across all islands, guests and staff of Sandals and Beaches came together for the finale of this popular vocal competition and showed their support for the singer drinking Tessanne-themed cocktails, wearing “Team Tessanne” t-shirts and much more.
Growing up on the island of Jamaica with musical parents, Tessanne always had dreams of becoming a musician. For three years, she sang backup for reggae legend Jimmy Cliff, but eventually broke out as a solo artist, performing not only throughout Jamaica, but also at Sandals and Beaches. Tessanne has been working hard for her big break and with her coach Adam Levine, “The Voice” is providing her the perfect platform to showcase her talent. As the first Jamaican to make it to the finale of this competitive contest, Tessanne has captured the hearts and support of fans not only in Jamaica, but throughout the world.
This season’s winner of “The Voice” will be announced tonight, Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 9 EST on NBC. To cast your vote for Tessanne Chin before time runs out, head to http://www.nbc.com/the-voice/vote/ or download your favorite songs on iTunes here.
