Recently the Boothbay Register Newspaper featured, a story about one of our of Sandals newlyweds, Valerie (Augustine) and Tabor Young of Boothbay Harbor who married at Sandals Grande Riviera and were a true inspiration to everyone. In lieu of gifts for their wedding, they requested that all their guests donate items they could bring down to the island to give to the community. Here is what the lovely couple had to say about their touching request:
When asked why she chose to have the items donated, the bride said, “We were sold on the idea, and my experiences as a Peace Corps volunteer and former teacher in Tonga convinced me even more”. She added, “We are excited to give back and would not have done it any other way. This gesture was needed and we hope it will help to spread love and education to more children.
