Unique Vacations, Inc. the Worldwide Representative of Sandals & Beaches Resorts is accepting resumes for home based Business Development Managers (aka Outside Sales Manager) for the following territories:
Pennsylvania: Based in Pittsburgh, region to include half of the state.
New Jersey/New York: Applicant may be based in the tri-state area.
- Individuals must be a team player with excellent customer service and sales skills.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work independently in a fast paced environment, be personable as well as assertive.
- Organized, detail oriented, and able to multi-task.
- Possess the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, must be goal oriented and motivated by commission.
- Overnight and weekend travel expected in addition to travelling outside of the USA for extended periods of time, especially during the training phase.

Job Requirements:
Main Objective: To impact business for Sandals and Beaches Resorts and all of our related products by servicing, educating, and building relationships in a proactive, professional manner within your assigned territory at the Travel Agent, Tour Operator, and Tourist Board levels.
Grow new business by helping travel agents develop marketing plans and reach booking goals via utilization of the vast tools available through the Certified Sandals Specialist Program and Preferred Sandals Specialist Program.
Requirements: The position requires an outgoing positive, professional attitude, strong communication and time management skills, teamwork and the ability to work evenings and weekends.
Job requires extensive travel both by car and plane for possibly long periods and a major commitment.
Sales Managers are required to have a level of computer proficiency that will allow them to navigate the internet, communicate via e-mail, operate a laptop computer, conduct, prepare & update presentations using PowerPoint, manipulate spreadsheets, and prepare documents using a word processor.
In addition, Sales Managers are expected to speak in public and prepare presentations for travel agencies, wholesalers and other industry organizations and professionals.
Required field activity:
To service Travel Agencies: Daily sales calls; In-House agency presentations; Conducting Sandals/Beaches (Consumer) Nights; Representing the company at Trade Shows; Working bridal and consumer shows; Working with and attending meetings for agency & industry organizations; Conducting self initiated familiarization trips and conducting corporate office mandated fam trips; Planning and executing Sales Blitz; Assisting with events in other regions as needed; Planning and executing Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner events and seminars; Seeking out advertising & promotional opportunities; Positioning Sandals & Beaches products within agencies to reach consumers and expand brand awareness; Any other functions deemed necessary by the company to generate sales.

Animators
" Liaising with Director of Childrens programs concerning the variety and suitability of activities offered at the Camp.
" Ensuring that the standards and integrity of the programs introduced to the Camp are maintained.
" Staffing- Motivating, training and developing, disciplining and scheduling team members and councilors assigned to your division and maintain personal files and any documentation of each staff member.
" Ensuring the safety of children and councilors and maintaining the assigned ratios of Children to Nannies and councilors.
" Be a catalyst in fostering the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness among team members in the nursery and Kids Camp.
" Assume responsibility for the purchasing of supplies for the effective and efficient management of the activities associated with the Childrens program. This includes but is not limited to arts and craft, musical instruments, books, toys, cleaning supplies, cribs, strollers, tapes and other general stationary purchases.
" Being instrumental in the creation of the annual departmental budget and adherence to the guidelines outlined in this document.
" Ensure proper documentation and record keeping as it relates to budget maintenance, however being mindful that this document must not be a limitation for the provision of excellent customer service in the department.
" Ensure all staff follow all company policies and procedures, know Sandals hand book and SQA
" Sesame Street Program
" Maintain outreach programs involving the partnership with Sesame Street
" Ensure that outreach requests are pre-approved and fall within the guidelines as established through our contract with Sesame Street and approved through Hotel Manger or Director of Childrens program.
" Ensure all character appearances are punctual and in accordance with rules and regulations.
" Facilitate the animation teams adherence to established guidelines involving costume care and maintenance. Cleanliness of the animation room.
" Be an active participant in the setup of functions and the maintaining of the SOPs of the sesame street program.
" Co-ordination and liaising with Beaches Negril Kids Camp to ensure schedules are maintained and changes are in a timely and responsible manner.
" Maintaining, monitoring, promoting and facilitating the growth of valued added services available through the Camp such as sesame street parties, breakfasts, stroller rentals etc.
" Contributing to the development of the program through the prompt generation of a thoughtful, informed report on a monthly basis to be sent to the General Manger, Hotel Manager and Childrens Program Director. These reports include but are not limited to the X-box monthly status report, the sesame street report and Kids Camp and nursery reports.
" Contribution to the maintenance and improvement of all resort standards in the provision of quality customer service by regular attendance at daily shift line up, weekly heads of department meetings.
" Any other requirements as assigned by the General Manager or Hotel Manager
